Ian Chen most recently served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Silvaco (NASDAQ: SVCO). During his tenure, he drove consistent double digit revenue growth year over year which allowed the company to successfully go public in May 2024.

Ian has over 30 years of industry experience in high technology with a breadth of experience in technical, marketing and business leadership in a variety of markets and applications. He enjoys contributing to and devising business plans to exploit market and technical discontinuities. His background includes projects in early superscalar PC microprocessors, modern display interfaces, using sensors and machine learning to create context aware computing, and applying biosensing to smart agriculture.

Ian was named by EE Times as a top technologist to watch and in Fierce Electronics’ Who’s Who in sensor technology. He received his MSEE and MBA degrees, all from the University of Illinois, Urbaba Champaign. He is named as a co-inventor in 20 patents.
